After defeating the Softball All-Stars 2-0 in Collecchio on April 18, 2019, the Team Italy women's softball squad is ready to take on the next challenge in Parma on May 15, 2019. Putting their winning streak on the line, the Azzurre face a different group of All-Stars in preparation for a summer of uphill battles in captuing the European Softball Championship and qualifying for the 2019 Olympics. Team Italy manager Enrico Obletter was pleased with the way pitchers Greta Cecchetti, Laura Bigatton, Alice Nicolini, and Ilaria Cacciamani shut out the Softball All-Stars last month.

Team Italy women's softball squad celebrates after win over Great Britain in Chiba, Japan The Italian skipper expects another stellar pitching performance from his team against a different group of Softball All-Stars this time around. The exhibition game will be played under the lights beginning at 7 pm on the Old Parma diamond on May 15, 2019.
