The CEB looks to 2015

The president of the Confederation of European Baseball, Jan Esselman, begins to make public his aspirations for European Baseball by the year 2021

The president of the Confederation of European Baseball, Jan Esselman, begins to make public his aspirations for European Baseball by the year 2021. Esselman main objective to double the number of European ballplayer by 2021, hoping to go from a current 6,000 clubs to 12,500 plus. Also in parallel with raising the number of clubs Esselman’s goals entail upping the number of umpires, coaches, baseball only fields and score keepers. In focusing on raising the overall participants in the sport of baseball throughout Europe, Esselman is asking each member federation to lend a helping hand in order to better communication, coordination efforts, clarity and dedication.

The CEB plans to provide development plans that will include communications, marketing and other general business strategies to all participating federations at the CEB’s congress at the beginning of 2015.  

CEB’s 2015 schedule:

-> Europeo for Club, first round from the 1st to the  7th of June
-> Europeo for Clubqualification from the 15th to the 21st of June
-> Europeo for nations in pool B from the 27th of July to the 2nd of August
-> Europeo Under 21 from the 20th to the 26th of July
-> Europeo Under 18  from the 13th to the 19th July
-> Europeo Under 15 from the 20th to the 26th of July
-> Qualification Europeo Under 15 from the 20th to the 26th of July
-> Europeo Under 12 from the 6th to the 12th of June

The Holland Baseball Federation (KNBSB) is excepting signups for the European Coachi Clinic that will be held on the 13th and 14th of December (2014). More information can be found on the event’s website.
