Therefore, this year we do not have a prevalent topic but different ones, analyzed from different perspectives and we’ve discussed it with the President of the Coaching Committee Domenico Micheli:

“Of course the technical theme of this event is a standard one, but the important issue of youth continued involvement centered on motivation, one of the main goals of this Committee today and the future.

Starting with the First Level Coach course, organized by Diego Azzolini, it is clear we are trying to form a Coach who is well prepared on the game’s fundamentals, but also a motivator. Getting things going will be Peter Caliendo, a professional trainer for coaches - specifically targeted to youth teams.  After a long and brilliant career as Head Coach and GM for the USA Youth National Teams, Peter Caliendo will present his new book and DVD as well as talk about how to organize practices based on fun and individual skill improvement.

The presentations of Ceciliani and Bortoli will also be targeted towards the proper approach with the youngsters of the game. Borellini, an expert in human resources development, will speak about the importance of inside and outside communication within the coaching staff in order to accomplish the team’s and organization’s goals. Also on hand will be Gianpaolo Zani for mental coaching, and Tom Giordano, who for many years was responsible for players development with the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers.”
